Buying brand new jeep...what you guys think?

Based on your retort, I would say you care.

BTW, nothing wrong with a C-notched truck laying frame...that actually take craftsmanship.
.

So it has to be cut and chopped up to be cool? but big rims on a stocker isnt?

BTW retort is on the list too i just checked mine

every time I see the word "retort" online I wonder if the poster is a retarded mouthbreather and actually means "retard", or actually meant the word they used.

this whole thread makes my head hurt.

Um....WHAT?! I have no clue where to begin in bashing this. Guess I'll start at the top and work my way down...

H2,H3, and Escalades suck at wheeling. Independent suspension sucks at wheeling. Thusly we reach the conclusion that all previously said vehicles suck at wheeling, i.e. they all have independent suspension. When I say wheeling I mean rocks/boulders not splashing through a mud puddle or going over a curb. I kinda hope you were JK'ing about the idea no, even the notion that an Escalade could wheel...I'll just leave the Escalade alone.
You ever wheeled an IFS? I have, and I mean over rocks and crawling. It's a different style, but fully possible. I took my stock Geo Tracker places tat people with much more built vehicles were afraid to go. In the rocks, will my XJ outdo it? Oh heck yeah, but it still can't match my stock Trackers performance in the wash, over whoops, etc. There's more to wheeling than rock crawling.
An H3 can't even compare to a JK Rubi. Rubi has solid axles, Dana axles, AND lockers! They are NO WHERE NEAR evenly matched off road.

JK RUBI stats:
The Rubicon package is the dedicated "Offroad" package. Standard components of the Rubicon package include Front and rear generation II Dana 44 axles, front and rear electronic lockers, rock rails, Electronic sway bar disconnect, 32 spline rear axle with an 8.8 inch ring gear, 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case, 4.10 axle gearing.

H3 can come with electronic lockers and 4x4 and that's it.
Look up the H3 Adventure package. 4:1 t-case, 33" tires, front and rear electric lockers, skid plates all around, and you get a nicer more comfortable daily ride along with it. Yeah, still IFS, but as stated before, IFS can be wheeled and taken over rocks while handling gofast better than a solid axle ever could.
Not sure if your talking about 35/37" tires or rimz. Don't see the point in having a jeep with a lift and that size of tires if your not going to wheel it. Guess all it's good for is driving around town and being a poser.
Got the XJ for wheeling, why beat up something that still looks good.
This concludes the bashing.:soapbox:hasta:nono::twak:
The inaccurate, ignorant, and decidedly weak bashing.

BTW, nothing wrong with a C-notched truck laying frame...that actually take craftsmanship.

TBH I don't know why the hell this turned into a big debate, thanks Darky for bringing that on.
C-notching a truck and laying frame does indeed take craftsmanship, but also destroys the truck for its original purpose. Take the aforementioned JK and swap the 28s for 17s with some 33s and it's still usable.

And the debate was brought on by your random nonsense tirade.

There is no topic to discuss. This is not a topic discussing thread. There was no initial statement defining boundaries nor an initial argument proposed.

If I'm not mistaken, the title of this thread is, "Buying brand new jeep...what you guys think?" I'm fairly certain that the, "what you guys think?" part of that title is an invitation for commentary - so there's both a topic and an open call for comments on it.

Colour me confused; I don't see how that makes this "not a topic discussing thread".

Obviously you have missed the joke. Upon entering the thread and opening the link you will find a link to an Ebay auction with a new JK with 28" rims and low profile tires. Obviously this was a joke. However, had you still not gotten the joke all you had to do was read a few post and see the joke that we were making of this JK in the OP. So, it appears that you have done not but read the title of the thread, read one additional post(on the 2nd page), and then proceed to comment without having read the original post, nor any of the following post, save one. I can not be responsible for your ineptitude in posting a poorly thought out response.

Ok, seeing as how nobody wishes to close this thread before it gets carried away. Anybody else care to post a poorly thought out attack that doesn't have shit to do with the OP nor hold any validity whatsoever?

I'm guessing you've already forgotten about your earlier reply to me in this thread regarding exactly that.

You're absolutely correct - I am inept at posting a poorly thought-out response!

Do you even know what you're saying at this point? I mean, grammar issues and double negatives aside, it kinda sounds like you're lost in your own thread.

Don't know why anyone would want to step on your toes in that regard; you're doing a bang-up job of it already.

hmmmm.

this thread still makes my head hurt.

Well, apparently after several post you have yet to get the joke. Feel free to post again when you manage to sit down and actually type out a well thought response, as I have yet to see one from you. I presume that I will see more post from you of the same caliber. I do wish that you would provide me with a thought provoking argument rather than this dribble that you spew.

It's Friday night / Saturday morning. Maybe you've had a few, and all of this will make sense to you again in the morning when you're trying to shake off the hangover. Benefit of the doubt and all that.

I really am enjoying your attempts at writing with a formal tone, though. Textually speaking, it's about equivalent to moving the El Camino off of the cinderblocks and onto some mismatched and dryrotted bias-ply rollaround tyres even though it's going to remain firmly parked on the lawn.

Solid's do better at the go fast stuff than IFS does at crawling would be my $0.02 hasta

I see you have no further arguments to offer, other than that of stooping to try and belittle my form of writing. I shall gladly play this game.

No formal tone was present. I see that you fail to understand the difference between tone and diction. What you diagnosed as "tone" is only a increased level of diction than that you are use to. While the tone of a sentence can be set by diction there was no formal tone set. In other words, the words I used were bigger than you normally see.

In addition, I see that you have attempted to incorporate the use of commas. I applaud your efforts. However, I suggest you read up on comma usage before you go randomly placing commas throughout your presentation.

May I suggest: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/607/02/

True, but if you've ever been in the monkey enclosure at the zoo when they start flinging poo, you'll note that they still take the firehose to the little buggers. Same thing here ;)

Hey this instead playa

Agreed. Maybe some chrome rock sliders. Oh, and make sure that winch cable is chrome too! Man if those are stock flares :puke:

Not a fan of the new jeeps TBH. V6 FAIL.

So I was trying to find other pics of nasty looking jeeps and found this:

Ok there is a point where you just buy a fk'n boat. Seriously.
Ya gotta love the double warns tho! Isn't this one of the Jeeps going over the pole from Europe to the USA a couple years ago?
