We had a chance last weekend to get up to wheeler lake with some freinds, and the jeep did great. It was a little rough with all the snow (almost a foot in some spots) but we managed to make it to the top. This was the first trip where the turbo really helped by allowing me to maintain a high wheel speed in 4hi. Also the front true trac/rear detriot really did a great job of getting me to the top. My biggest limitation was by far my worn bighorns.

It was so cold and wet, no one was able to get very many pics...

Fairly productive weekend.

Installed:
- New RE coil spacers
- HD shackle relocators
- New DOM track bar to replace my bent one (hit track bar brace due to a failed bumpstop)
- Rear Ruffstuff cover

Both brake kits are doing great, so expect them to be available soon!

A few months ago I did a bunch of maintaince work:

timing Chain
new hoses
thermostat
thermostat housing (old one was cracked)
brown dog super pass side mount
water pump
Champion 3 core radiator
GC fan clutch
dampener
valve cover gasket

So after bending both front bump stop tubes, I decided to ditch the poly spacers and weld in some steel replacements. I used some 5" dia 3/16th wall tube and blasted out some gussets made from CR 10ga. I extended the gussets down so that the weld would tie them into the inner section of "unirail". Overall the front end feels much more solid and hopefully keeps the tubes from bending in the future. I had thought about throwing in air bump cans while I was at it but they simply arn't in my budget.

I heated the upper portion of the tube with a torch and bent them back into place before welding on the tubes. I also marked where the welds were going to be and ground off all the paint. I'm sorry my pics suck as well. All I had was my scratched up phone.

Threw on some paint, coil isolators and finished up for the night.

Updates!

I fabbed a new TB and Bracket this last weekend. I had made the mistake of using small 5/8" heims on both ends which ended up needing replacement every couple thousand miles. To remedy that, I built a new bar using a poly bushing setup at one end and a FK "aircraft grade" 7/8" - 3/4" heim rated at 55,000lbs at the other. While I was at it, I added almost 4 inches to the length to match the steering link and made a new bracket. No more clunks or bumpsteer! I still need to fab a new brace, but overall 1000x's better.

I'd have probably used a locknut on that third bolt you integrated though.

It's funny you mentioned that since I cut one out today . I was starring at it at lunch and decided draw it up. It looked a little weird with nothing between the plates. I also noticed I should probubly add a safety washer @ the pitman arm. That would suck.

Yeah unfortunetly it's all I had on hand. I did red loctite it though.
