Bob's Place?

Has anyone been out to Bobs place recently? Off of Pleasent Vally Road? I saw a post about doing something out there and wanna do a run, but Being as I have never been there I would like some trail help so I dont totally thrash the rig. I have two Airmen who wanna go to, one with a Wrangler, the other with a Full size Dodge (he aint the smartest cookie out there but i wouldnt mind watching him get a dent or two in his ego...er....truck)
 
I've never been to Mix Canyon, always meant too...

the guy who owns it, Bob, seems to be pretty nice, and would probably give ya a heads up if you were destined to get in over your head...
 
there are a couple trails that your going to get body damage on unless your lucky and maybe put it on the side. the rest of the trails and climbs the full size can play on. the trails are rutted out with some rocks, maybe even more now since the rain we have had. if its raining, bob wont let anyone up there.... just sign a waiver and have a good time, there is also bbq in the staging area for anyone to use.
 
Sweet deal!! Sounds like i might have to give him a call and see when we can get out there. XJRanger, let me know when you wanna make a day of it and we will go. I am always up to tag along with someone who has better trail knowledge then myself.

I live in Washington, not exactly making a day trip of it. :thumbup:

make sure to take lots of pictures if you do go!
 
I made it from Spokane to Travis AFB in under 12 hours.....its doable but wouldnt be any fun LOL. I will make sure to take lots of pics. just hope the weather agrees with a run.

playwithit, myself and one of my buddies with a wrangler are heading up there next Sunday around 0900 if you wanna meet up. 602-558-1560 is my cell number. If you get up there later you can reach my on ch20 if you gotta CB. No cell service for me up there. Damn Alltel.

March 22nd? I just might tag along for the day....
 
You cant camp, its some guys property,7 acres of trails but its alot of fun. if you go to mixchallenge.info you can get directions. Its on the north side of vacaville off of pleasant valley road.
 
Oh yeah. FYI. Wear a long sleeve shirt or have one handy. My buddy and i both got into some poison oak while working on getting his little wrangler unstuck on a hill. If you aint never had it, you dont want it. :skull2:
 
The weather forecast is calling for rain on Saturday night and Sunday. Dos this guy close down when it rains? I'm still planning on going

They may close if it rains. There are a couple of short open trails near by if they do.
