Haven't ever had a chance to run Blanca, can someone fill me in on how hard it is. The pix don't look too bad, but you can never tell. Can you rate it against some of the Moab trails?

I did it by myself, on 33's. There was an aweful lot of scraping and thumping sounds coming from the bottom of my jeep, though!

I was really surprised, You always hear how hard blanca is. I would rate it around Holy Cross, Wells rates it a 9+. Jaws 1 can get real tippy, Jaws 2 is just a pucker thing with a little offcamber and nothing to stop you if you go over. Jaws 2 1/2 and 3 are the toughest of the obsticles. It is just a great trail. I did make use of the new TnT bellypan even with the 35's.

hey tom, i've never run this trail (yet), but have always been curious ever since JP magazine
included it in their "10 trails you can die on" article a while back (one of the "jaws" obstacles).

glad to hear it isn't as bad as rumors have it.

jeff count me in on the pow-wow about a trip out there this fall!

Jaws 2 is the one JP was talking bout. the most recent was 3 years ago this august.

the Ranger i talked to at the Dunes said usually someone dies every year on Blanca. He must have been exaggerating.?.

Looks like my friend and I are going 7-29 to 7-31 Last weekend in July. I'll post it up again a little later if anyone is intersted.
