Anyone have any experience with Black Rock Wheels? I have looked around the web but havent found too much, and im just curious if anyone has some personal experience. I want a wheels thats a bit different from the soft 8 look that I see all the time, but still a steel wheel that I can weld beadlocks onto when i hit that point later.

I am looking to maybe run a set of the Black Rock Dunes on my 2 Door XJ, but I cant find any pictures of them. If anyone has any that would be awesome. Here is the Jeep they will be going on:

Thanks guys!

no the black rocks will go on my XJ, but the truck next to the XJ is a Chevy 1500 yeah. Thats my baby, and my daily driver. I bought the Jeep so id stop wanting to tear the truck apart, I needed a project to keep me busy when im not doing school

Edit: oh were you talkin about my emblems on the Jeep? haha, im a Chevy man through and through, I had those in my toolbox from when i debadged my truck so we through them on there, its a half ton Jeep now

Lol yeah, that was what I was commenting about :D.

Never heard of the rims, but they look fine... I like the Soft8 style more but that's personal preference.

I gotcha, yeah yeah, im an Aggie, ive heard em all :D

I like the soft 8 style, I just want something a bit different because everyone seems to have them. Plus they are still steel wheels so I can weld them up with beadlocks, that was one of my few requirements

why put a off road windshield banner on a stock xj?

oh, thats right. you must be under the impression that it adds horsepower, improves MPG, acts as a hard-soft locker, and improves flex 5 fold.

Yes, and maybe he just likes to support his off road club? Just because he hasnt suck thousands into his rig doesnt mean he cant wheel it...

James....be nice dammit.

I like you, you are a great guy but sometimes you really come off as an asshole for no good reason.

so what your saying is you cant take stock xj's out wheeling or what? my xj's stock height, i got quick disco's up front, soon to be removing the rear anti sway all together. got bfg mt's on it and i wheel my jeep everywhere i probably shouldnt.

took it thru a few class 3,4 trails or green / blue trails in my stock xj...

I really like this site, there is always the typical e-hardasses but most of yall are great and I appreciate it. James or Stewie whatever your name is, thanks for the welcome. I am the president of that particular Truck/Offroad club based out of College Station, Texas and I just picked up the Jeep for 400 bucks. Ive already started buying parts for it and I have a set of 33's waiting on wheels to go on it. We dyno tested the XJ however and the sticker did add 3 horsepower amazingly. Ive got some flowmaster stickers and mobil one to add too so it should haul ass :D

I wheeled my truck stock forever and had a blast doing it, havent had a chance to wheel the XJ yet unfortunately, finals and the end of school had me tied down pretty well.

It says ROFLCOPTER.

Hadn't heard of Black Rock Wheels, but I see they've got some pretty cool alloys in addition to the steelies. Not priced too badly either. More stuff to add to the list.

haha, yeah it says ROFLCOPTER like hubs said. Im going to cut out the flares and roll the fenders back anyways so my buddy took a nail gun to it while we were fixing the transmission one day. The other side says LOLZ

And the alloys did have soom really good looking wheels too, I just wanted to stick with a steel wheel to make it easier to weld on beadlocks when I hit that point.

i like their selection of steel wheels, especially backspacing choices. i read somewhere that they are actually made by Cragar. the one you linked to looks like a variation of the Cragar V-5.

I just did some research and found the same info, thats interesting and makes me feel a lot more comfortable that they are made by Cragar. Good to hear, thanks!

:wave1: yeah, it's nice to know they are made by a reputable company. i'm definitely looking into the Black Rock wheels when/if I decide to change things up a little.
