Best of Craigslist

Man, it's difficult to see how they justify $58K for one of these..... but they sure are bitchin'.......

If only they knew how to spell!!!

nine grand for an 86 with a 30/8.8? haaaaaaahahahahaha

It might be the Isuzu 3.4L V6. If I recall correctly form my 84 S-10 days (over a decade ago mind you) that was the direct swap upgrade for the 2.8L V6. I could be wrong though.

Never heard of an Isuzu engine swap. More likely, it's the '90-'95 Camaro/Firebird 3.4 as they share the same bell housing bolt pattern and engine mount casting on the block as the Jeep 2.8.

I'd be curious if he kept it fuel injected or if he put a carb/intake on it. The injection set up would make that run pretty decent and much more emissions friendly.

Lots of good write ups on line about doing that swap.

Maybe thats the engine I was thinking off, as I said its been over a decade and at least 20 cars since I had that thing. Can't quite remember it all, but I was looking into a 3.4L V6 swap when I had it.

Do u know there is no title to it? I know some people that would give some good money fot it. Looks to be in pretty good shape too. Curious of how the floor pans look? Would be a fun project tho.

The article said many of the trucks had the VIN plates removed and NONE were sold by Old Navy corporate with titles.

During my google search I did see a truck that had been dropped onto an S-10 frame/suspension/drivetrain and titled as an S-10.........

Funny thing is, there ARE some 60+ year old trucks in a junkyard near me. I spent a few hours wandering around the place with the owner a month ago. He's definitely got the Mod Bug, he told me all about at least a dozen different random projects he'd built just because he happened to have the stuff sitting in the junkyard to build them, not because he actually needed them. They're all still sitting there unused :roflmao:

I came home with the nosepiece/grille off a 1956 V8 Ford pickup to make into a wall decoration. Can't decide whether I should just clean the dirt off it and leave it 'aged' or fully restore and repaint it.
