Bent exhaust down tube?

Hey, in my Transfer case pics, there is a pic of the down tube coming off the header. There is a pretty big dent/inbulge on the tube, it sort of looks factory, unless I hit something really perfect...

is this factory or did I bend it?

Looks like the factory crimp... to clear the pinion/driveshaft yoke

i dont know how many different times i've asked, or had friends ask to have that crip replaced with new pipe at teh exhaust shop and they won't do it. they seem to think that even on a lifted jeep it still needs to be there. someday i'll replace it myself with some nice thick stainless :rattle:
