Ok so i have used the search a bit this morning found a few pics of them but nothing really what im looking for.

I recently lowered my jeep a bit so now i am wanting to do a belly skid and other armor. I never needed it before but now since im a bit lower i want to protect everything.

Im wanting to build a skid that will protect my trans pan and tcase. I plan on tieing into the xmemeber for this.

I was thinking of doing a brace behind the tcase that will tie into both sides of the jeep and run a support beam to the xmember and plate it. Same with the front.

Maybe someone on here can point me in the right direction for this or find some examples of what people have done before.

my transmission crossmember is a piece of C-channel notched for the driveshaft and exhaust.

the skid was built like this. not quite flat, 18" at the lowest point with 4" of lift on 33"s
cut outs for the transfer case and Cat.

full wrap on the unibody with anti-crush sleeves and nuts welded onto the crossmember to tie it in

I've been acquiring parts for the exhaust swap to tuck it up higher. Cat, Muffler, etc etc... once I get that done I can do a transmission skid.

ya i have a single chamber flowmaster. I plan on redoing my exhaust anyways from the manifold to the bumper. Right now it turns down at my axle

It is? Where at on the exhaust? My cross member is flat with the frame rails. My exhaust is pushed up really close to the floor, but I don't think it is touching.

My exhaust touches the floor.

But the way it is bent, if you want to cover the transmission oil pan, you need to re work.
