Badlands Aug 27

Weather is looking good for the weekend.

Nick

It is 80 and very nice outside today, expecting more of the same tomorrow.

Planning to head out Saturday morning, not sure if we will be there when the gate opens but I'm shooting for 10am; not noon like all the other times. I even swept the Jeep out for this trip... with a broom and dustpan!

See everyone out there!

Had a great time guys. Brad and Craig pushed my comfort zone a little but the Jeep had no problems taking the beating. Brad brought his buddy out who had never been wheeling before, dude had a permagrin the whole time. The Jeep was being a cranky bitch a couple times and making odd noises but she ran fine on the highway on the way back to brads even without the sway bar connected.

Patty and I had a great time. Thanks to Craig (Cabjeepster) and co-pilot Stacey for helping out with the group. All the newbies (to the park )said they had a great time.Aaron (FlexdXJ)wheeling his rig....Flexing,stuffing wheels, climbing steep rock walls, and causing it to make funny noises was a bonus to see.

I'll look at the video and post asap.

Nick

We had a great time also. Aaron you gotta push yourself sometimes, you will be surprised what your jeep can do.

I had a blast, The Jeep was really impressing me, the first half of the day it was making noises but it didn't do too bad after that. Still ran fine down the road with no abnormal vibes.

She is flexing nice

Came down pretty hard a few times, one I felt the unibody shudder, I hope thats just from banging it off something and nt flexing my unibody.....Stiffener time!

Between you and Brad, the Jeep got pushed pretty hard yesterday!

you might as well buy a truck to tow it with. You've dented it already.

I sent you a PM about a tow rig possibility Nick. I keep my eyes out for strange tow rig candidates.

Yep, had a blast! I'll definitely be getting back out there...

Sorry to hold everyone up with my mudhole misfortune. No idea it was that deep. :wierd:

And for the record, my vacuum disco is still failure-free: looks like I finally broke the inner axleshaft.

I think Tom said he had some old spares... Tom?

Hope to see you at winterfest 2012...There's mud holes on the orange trail so deep ..I've seen forty plus(size) tires disappear.
