Back Spacing

Okay I want to get rid of my stock rims w/o having the wheel tear apart my fender while articulating....I have about 2 1/2 inches of lift on my XJ....does anyone know what after market rims use stock back spacing(or close to it) and what is the stock back spacing anyway???? Any help would be great...thanks!!

What size tires. Assuming 30s or 31s you'll want wheels with 4.5" backspacing. That applies all the way up to 33sx10.50s. Once you go to a 33x12.50 you'll want about 3.75 or less to clear the LCAs while turning.

I'm running 30x9.50's right now thinking about going to 30x10.50's on a sixteen inch rim....not sure of the metric size.

I just put Eagle 587 (589?) rims with 31"MTs. This on a 3.5" RE lift. The rims are 15x7 with 5.5" BS. They look and fit great!

They don't rub you're LCA's?
