Way to go AZ. The only problem is that they'll now all head to California.

I have ZERO problems with immigrants--1/2 German, 1/4 Irish, and 1/4 Cherokee.

I have ZERO tolerance with ILLEGAL ALIENS. Absolute ZERO tolerance. No amnesty! Go HOME. APPLY for legal immigration. Wait in line. No problema.

If they go home, and apply for a legal visa, the er lines and class sizes may stay the same, but the budgets supplying them will come up to meet the demand.
of course the gov will probably create some loophole and make them tax exempt somehow
 
Living here I can honestly say that I am for and against it I don't believe in racial profiling but as there so many that break the laws and are deported only to return I can say this a step in the right direction. There is no border security here in AZ despite what the fed says and that is not a slam on the ICE and border patrol they are only doing their jobs and they are handicapped at that by the laws meant to protect them their are just too many people flowing into the state via the liquid border... I would be in favor checking status of everyone including myself at stops I used to cashier and the easist way to deal with the liquor selling laws was to card everyone(the oldest person I carded was 92)... More than 95% of the people were happy to show me ID except for a few the most notable was a diplomat from some other country who had to go back to his hotel to get it for me he was pissed that I made him do that(I still remember this more than 12 years later that's how bad his attitude was)...

If they(the illegal immigrants) don't want a law like this then I have a better idea don't check ID's go through work records and when you catch them shut the business down and liquify it's assets deport the illegals back home and put the owners in jail for a few years.... To make sure they don't come back arm the hell out of the border anyone coming in is shot on site including the numerous incursions by the mexican army(research that) or catch them and hold a military tribunal then execute them by firing squads.. I have lived in AZ all my life except for 2 months(when I was born sorry CA I couldn't take it anymore) and have seen it slowly degrade where the crime level is stunning and most of it is done by illegals against citizens or mostly other illegals they can take that crap back home to their own country..

The fact remains beyond where or not people are here for work or a better life THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY which means they should have no foodstamps, welfare checks, emergancy room care or access to things like schools or emergency services.. Look at the cost for schools that have to deal with ELS for kids whose parents refuse to teach the children english it's what's breaking the budget in addition to the overloaded district offices... As far as the anchor babies make it so that BOTH of the parents must be US CITIZENS for the child to get citizenship its really simple that way... If your not a citizen leave and apply and wait just like everyone one else has had to do for several hundred years... Between the greedy businesses and investors driving the businesses to get a better return at the cost of lower wages and the illegals working for crap wages the standard of living in both the state and the country has taken a nose dive and I don't see an end in site...

There are many who will hate me for my ideas but I work hard for the things I have and those that I provide to my family and hate to see others taking the system and abusing it because someone either wants to profit(businesses, politicians, or someone just too cheap to pay for services)..

That said BREWER gets both a :thumbup: and my vote come this election year between the CCW laws and the border issue I believe this is moving the state in the right direction.. I voted for Obama and regret wasting my vote(I made a mistake) and he will not get it again EVER he has degraded both the soldiers who have paid with their life or limb and their families and the common citizen with his giving the country away to special interests and other countries...

sorry about the soapbox but I had to speak up...
I miss what my country used to be about and want it back and will get it by voting and standing up for my rights..:patriot:

And who said its only Spanish speaking people? There are Russians, Brits, Iranians, Iraqis, Norwegians, Japanese, you name it we got them as illegals. Your a cop, you pull someone over, they hand you a license that says "Joe Smith" on it and yet they can't speak English--you gotta ask the question. In fact, those AZ cops will probably catch lots of Canadians because they can't stop saying "ay"! :cheers:
 
Only thing bothers me about this law. What if you're not carrying ID? According to Federal law, immigrants are required to carry paperwork anywhere they go: Passport, Visa, green card, whatever. Citizens are not required to carry ANY identification. At least not yet.

Nice to see they have the anti-profiling language in there. Of course, if you, the legal citizen, are not carrying your wallet, which you are not required to do, you can now be picked up and held until they confirm your citizenship status. All well and good, 'cause we all know it'll only affect "brown" people, right?

Most of the gun control laws we have on the books now were historically written to keep blacks from owning/carrying guns. When the laws were passed, everybody "knew" they were only going to affect black people. See how well that's turned out,..

If you have a social security number, you should know it... if you don't, you should have your documentation. As long as you know your SSN, DL#, birthday, address, and all of that stuff that's on file, I highly doubt you're going to be given much of a hard time.

And speaking English as if you at least went to an American school for 5 years or so!

Sure, a legal resident MUST carry their ID, and if I was a naturalized citizen I would be tempted to carry just a bit more ID with me. So what? If they want to be mad at someone they should be mad at the illegals that cheated while they earned their right to be here.

NO AMNESTY, NO MORE REWARDING CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR!
