Just came in from measuring some axles. Thought I'd share. I've seen conflicting measurements on the web - now I'm confident of some of them since I've measured them myself.
A tape measure and a flat peice of plastic to extend the WMS to the outside of the drum was used in order to get a precise measurement (+/- 1/8"). Then the tape measure was clamped to the drum to hold it while measuring at the other side of the axle.
Here's the measuerments:
Does anyone know if the Jeep XJ Dana 44 is exactly the same width as a XJ Dana 35? Just curious.
