Aux Fuel Tank in Truck Beds

I'm looking for the regulations that oversee putting an aux fuel tank in the bed of a pick up truck.

More specifically, a fuel tank that has a dispenser that is used to fuel up small tanks (belly tanks in generators) and light equipment (lawnmowers).

Don't think there are any laws in Colorado about it but we always had a length of chain that hung down and grounded the vehicle because you can get one heck of a spark from the end of the hose and this is not good.

Well, there have got to be some DOT regs at the least. I think it's also covered under 49CFR167 but not exactly sure yet.

It's legal as long as the tank meets dot requirements. The problem is finding one legal for gas. If you look you'll see most of them are only legal for diesel fuel.

Neither. We will have to put out guidelines for our program at work regarding the usage of these tanks on our Installation.

old_man I just came from loveland and I have to say....I've never seen more lifted XJ's in all my life!
It was pretty cool..
I had the first lifted XJ in Loveland and the second in Northern Colorado if IIRC. Now they are all over the place.
