Going to be buying an Aussie locker for my dana 30.
Anybody with some experience installing these? Looking for some help on the install. I have lots of tools
Have lots I could trade for services (beer, coffee, jeep parts)

Also lookin for some spare shafts

Ive serviced my lockrite, which is essentially an aussie. It's pretty simple. If you're paranoid get new ring gear bolts, im pretty sure you have to take the ring off. Heres a good writeup.

Ive got some spare 760x size shafts, but im using them for my 4x4 conversion. I need to get a Low pinion 30 from PnP, ill be going at the end of the month. I could be convinced to grab some shafts if you still need them then.

its super easy. Ive installed only like 5 or 6 lunchbox lockers but they are all the same. easy as heck with basic tools. go with a lock right not an aussie.

I've heard the 8.8 design sucked but the d30 seems to have great reviews

Side note.. Why the LP?

I'm just going to finish the conversion and sell it. It needs a ton of work before it becomes the vehicle I want to drive, so I'll just look for one that's closer to what I want. I bought it for 900, so I'll be making mondo coin when it's said and done.

I like my lock rites, they don't lock up very often on road and are perfect off-road. They click a little on turns on road but it's not bad. I believe there's an aussie-like locker goes by the name "lokka" I believe they're made by the same guts who made aussie. They're pretty cheap, but work just as well I've heard.

If you have any questions just ask, if you can install a lift or do intake manifold gasket on our engines your more then qualified. I'd go lock right from summit racing, got mine 330 shipped a few years ago IIRC or get a Spartan from Randy ring and pinion. Both will ship over night ups ground if your in the bay area.

Found Spartans for 245 shipped I'm thinking that route now.
I've read lock rites quality has changed
Rwk haus says that on a thread I just read.. So unless he still has some of the older ones I guess Spartan might be my new choice lol

Some say that the Spartans are stronger. The pins are much larger in the Spartans than locrite or Aussie.

Plus it looks like it's gonna be a tad easier install than the others

Hey skipper he was only referring to the lunchbox lockers since you don't have to re set the gears with a lunchbox.

Oh, OK, thanks Jon but the TruTrac isn't a locker it's a limited slip so what makes it a "lunch box" a lunch box?
