Anyone going to the Badlands Saturday?? I believe they are having Zukimelt this weekend. I hope its not too crowded. Would like to hook up with someone or a group since I'm coming with just my girlfriend. I'll be in an Army green Comanche............

I live about 30 minutes south if Badlands. Today, one of the girls at work ask me what was going on up there. She saw a couple of motorhomes on the highway pulling trailers with Zuks on them. She commented she was surprised people would use such a small vehicle for rock crawling. I told her that actually they do quite well.

I doubt I'll be there ...

Zukimelt is fun if you are watching.
It's pure misery if you just want to get some wheeling done.
Loads of people, large gluts of foreign crap on the trails, event organizers all over the place, and forget the quarry entirely.
Seacrest out.

I avoid Badlands (or any park) when there is an event going on. I hate people, and events bring to many of them to a small area.

Winterfest sucked, IIRC. :wierd:

Hey Comanchero as an alternative, Redbird is offering this:" Guys and Gals, Don't forget about the night ride at Redbird this weekend.

Re: Attica July 9th?? *** I went anyway ***

I went to the Badlands in spite of Zuki Melt and had a great time after all. Yes, there were lots of Zuk's, but the majority didn't go to the places I did. No problems on the trails or in the quarry. Later in the day there was too many "rock buggies" in the quarry but not many Zuk's were in it when I was. Plenty of Jeeps, only a few Cherokees and I was the only Comanche. Again I was amazed at the abilities of this truck and again it did everything I asked of it and more. I really put the new rock rails to the test. When I first started building this thing up I thought it would be too long with the bed still on it and the wheelbase was too long as well for the tight stuff I run on, Haspin mainly. It always surprises me the places I can make this truck fit. Can't wait to go back...........
