I make my living ( a decent one) by my knowledge of companion animal behavior and physiology...

It is NOT cruel to keep a dog in a crate 8-12 hours a day...

What's really cruel...

is that your parents didn't abort ya.

Maybe they shoulda crate trained ya...

I wouldn't even let you clean up after a parvo shit on any of my patients...

Every dog we have had has had their room/cage, equipped with their blanket, water and food, within a few days of having it they would head in there when they did not want to be bothered, went to bed for the nite, sometimes we'd close the door, sometimes not.
Our current westie gets us up at 0530 mon thru friday and 0630 on weekends [don't ask me, he just knows :shrug ].
As for the running away thing, thats training.

you sir are a dumbass...I did in fact state two seperate dogs in that post...I said "I have one dog that was trained as a seeing eye dog...(it's name was "cullen")....then I later stated and another that was trained to attack...it's name happened to be "killany""

actually i didn't know that joke...thanks for clueing me in. whats cruel about training a dog to protect property if you give it a 3 car garage and 2 1/2 acres to roam freely...I don't understand how thats cruel as long as it keeps unwanted visitors away from your land...please explain what "neglect of cruelty" means...sounds to me in the wording that it means just that, not cruel. or were you going for neglect OR cruelty..in which case neither apply, training a dog is not cruel compared to caging it up for 12 hours which is the matter at hand am I wrong?
the killany thing happened to be coincidental evidently it's a scottish name that my mother picked out, just so happened to sound threatening although I never really connected the two.

You are such an asshound. Letting your pet roam free w/out boundries or supervision is not only irresponsible, but it's just asking for something to happen to your dog. Training a dog is great for the owner and the pup, but training to attack is flat out cruel. You shall burn in doggy hell!!!
