so i've come to realize i need a second hand to help me install some things on my jeep lol, I want to do my budget lift with my spacers and shackles, and to install my gas tank skid and steering box. now I know it might not be possible to do all of that in one day but if I can do at least half i'd happy lol would anyone be willing to help for some beer and food? or cash is preferred i can find some lol
i'm just realizing what my limits are with basic tools and a gravel drive way :o lol
bronzewyrm? :wave1: lol

Hey that reminds me.....
I need to get that handheld back from you one of these days....
No rush... I have like three of them, just didnt want you to think I was giving that to you....
:)

Ya I didn't even realize that till like a day before the lost lake run when I was organizing my jeep lol ya I figured its just a loan, not something I could keep, was planning on bringing it to the lost lake run and giving it to ya but work kept me from going.
Want to use that as an excuse so you can help me out?? Lol

We''ll see Larry, I have some stuff with the Podcast going on, and some work on my own Jeep that needs to get done.
I may have some time next weekend to help you out, depending on what you get done yourself over the next week or so.
Hey real quick.... if you're planning on doing shackles.....
Think about getting some replacement eye bolts.
When I did my leafs... I used the ones from Jack-It.

Really makes the install go a lot easier.

Ya I'm also planning on replacing the bushings as well so ill add those to my list. Ya I started to try and get it all ready and realized that if I was to do it all by myself, I'd be at my moms house in gervais on the driveway but then it sunk in that I'd be there by myself and if something went wrong like a strip nut or something, I'm SOL from being able to fix or get to somewhere to fix it lol since this is my only vehicle if have no way to drive and get a part or something. Hence why I'm asking you guys for help lol
And if you need help man, I can help. I'm very mechanically incline and pretty good and fabricating, I just don't have my own space and place to do it myself lol

Having aftermarket nut strips like the ones from JCR make that part of that kind of job a LOT easier... PLUS makes for a very secure mount for the hitch, and skid.
They're cheap enough and save so much time and labor, that they should prob be on your list.

I can drive it, it's not stuck. I just didnt want to do it by myself here at my apartment or my moms house and be sol if I break something or do something that'll leave me immobile and not able to get parts or something.

Dude, I'm sorry, but thats SuperBowl Sunday......

Posting this up again, I've gotten a second job so time is very super tight for me and the things I want to do will probably require two people at least to get it done in a timely manner. The biggest is getting my steering box replaced with my yj box. I'm delivering papers at night now and can't be having the screeching noise and hard steering like I'm having now. Is there anyone willing to help me get at least that installed?

oh wow did not know you lived in salem, thought you lived in portland for some reason lol well i have mondays and tuesdays off, sometimes wednesdays at my first job so i'm free from 8am to midnight.

We can shoot for monday night, I have a shop on portland road and a shop at my folks place in south salem. Shoot me a pm and we can work out the details. steering box shouldnt take much more than an hour.
