Ba ha ha ha! Freeze clowns freeze! Glad my dumb ass signed up to work now. It's flipping cold out there. I've been sick anyway. Already missed three days of work this week. My paychecks going to suck.

Yes it was cold.
Yes I had some damage.
Yes I had more fun.
Yes I have the "item".
Yes "someone" broke "somewhere", again.
Yes we had the park to ourselves.
Yes I had fun.

Thanks guys, good to see you all again.

Did I mention it was cold?

To give you an idea...at least two of us had our brakes freeze....so we could not stop. Might have had something to do withrunning the creek...and then sitting.

I has the frozen brake problem as well.
And a prob I never experienced before blew a trailer tire, on the way home, yes I had a spare.

It was sooooo cold, I got home and its 22, feels like a heat wave.

Oh and for all you all that didn't show, the owner of badlands gave everyone that showed up a free pass to mission impossible (private trails near the badland property)

Just got home a few minutes ago.

Good to see everybody!

Had a great time, even though I had to keep getting back in the heep to temporarily thaw out portions of my anatomy, and my friggen front ARB quit again...

Also, my new camera froze every time I got out of the heep, so all the pics I have are a couple of the sunrise through the van window, and a couple wheeling pics through the heep window. I think the camcorder worked, I'll look later.

And, Pizza Hut didn't run out of beer!

Just got home. Man was it COLD, just in case you hadn't read that already. Funny though it seems a lot colder up here in WI! What a trip home.

Yes, I broke my junk again, on Rock Face again. Nearly rolled and came even closer to making a flat Scotty. I broke a brand spanking new axle shaft and a brand spanking new ring and pinion in the front. I'm going to have to start looking for something else for the front end.

Anyway, we removed the inner shafts and I ran home like that. Got about 100 miles and had a flat. Putting the tire on the Jeep fell off the bottle jack. Lucky the tire kept it from going all of the way down or I wouldn't have been able to get a jack under the axle. But my jack was jambed in there. A guy stopped and let me use the scissors jack from his Malibu. Got the tire on and we were on our way. Got past Chicago, stopped for gas and had a horrible grinding when I hit the brakes. Lost both my caliper bolts on the pass side. Stole one from the drivers side and drove with one in each. Got into Milwaukee and I heard a grinding noise, thought it was a caliper bolt again. Nope, but I stopped at a hardware store and got all new ones. So back on the road again. Get on the freeway and then there was the grinding which turned into a clicking. Got into my town and was about 1 mile from the house when I heard a load bang and everything got nice and quite and smooth. I went to turn around and noticed I was leaking something bad so I just went home. Got in the driveway and was looking to see what happened. I have a really nice window in my transfer case now! :)

Next time I'm not letting my wife talk me out of pulling the Jeep behind the bus! Hopefully though next trip I'll have a better front axle and a new t-case.

I'd like to add that it was a great time though I was very glad to have doors and heat. Mcgyver, Fourwheeler, and Wheelers kid (Clinton) are some tough hombres. Though there was no campfire everyone cozied up to the bar at the Historic Attica Hotel. After Pizza that is. The Hotel now has a restaurant and a bar which is really nice. Of course after a few drinks going out on the "town" seemed like a good idea. In hind sight staying at the hotel bar or going to bed would have been a better idea. :) :) :)

It was great to see everyone again, well at least the pansies among us!

John I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the video from Rock Face!

I may have a bit of a problem with that video. Took out the tape from yesterday to find a blank one for Cindy to use at the wedding shower today, and somehow I now have the blank tape stuck halfway ejected in the damn camcorder!

I have another camcorder but it's not the digital 8, so I'm not sure what my options are. Don't really want to pay a couple hundred to fix that POS, when I can get a better one for a few hundred.

If you or anyone else has a Sony digital 8, I could send the tape...

At least I didn't break my jeep :D
Time for a front 60 and an Atlas?
