I purchased some stuff off ebay from fsjjeeplover. Payed a little over 50 bucks for the stuff. It has now been over 2 weeks, 3 emails and still nothing. I have filed a complaint against him and I am waiting on that. My question to anyone in this area
City: new milford
State: CT
Country: United States
Phone: (860) 355-2209
Who might know this person. His name is t Philips. I have tried calling and still nothing. I have also contacted 2 other people who won auctions from him, and they also said they have not recieved anything. Can anyone help?

I'm in Connecticut, but I've never heard of this person. New Milford is not even a 'burb -- it's a fairly affluent town, but stuck off in upper Fairfield County pretty much in the boonies. I'm not going to volunteer to do a drive-by, because New Milford is more than an hour's drive from me ... and that's if I don't get lost looking for the address.

Try logging onto the CT Jeep web site and ask on there if anyone knows him. Lemme see if I can find the URL, 'cause it isn't intuitive ...

Try that. I'm afraid it's the best I can do for you at this point. If he fails to produce and fails to respond, don't hesitate to contact the New Milford police department. Offering items for sale on eBay constitutes an offer to sell. When he accepted your bid and you sent him money, that makes a contract that is as binding on him as it is on you. If he doesn't deliver, he is guilty on fraud in interstate commerce. There is precedent for people being convicted and jailed for this.

THANK YOU! thats a great start. I wasn't going to ask anyone to drive around to find the guy, but thanks anyways......

good luck in resolving this issue.. i do alot on Ebay and havent had any problems yet..... it sucks when a jeeper screws a fellow jeeper.... you can give bad feedback on him on Ebay as well... hope you work this out, an expensive lesson to learn..

I see you posted on CT Jeep, but I have to tell you that I think they're pi$$ed at you. They asked for specifics and you didn't provide any.

Are you old enough to remember the old "Dragnet" television show -- or the Dan Ackroyd movie based on it?

"The facts, M'am, just give us the facts" was Sgt. Joe Friday's trademark line. Your case will be stronger and clearer if you simply state when the auction closed, how the guy confirmed that you were the high bider and the bid was accepted, how and when you sent the money, and what (if anything) has transpired since then. You may as well practice, because if you do call the cops you'll have to have the story crystal clear for them.

Thanks Eagle. I will post the whole situation. Din't know I made them mad. I don't want to leave bad feedback YET b/c I want to give him a chance. Neg feedback can really hurt you on ebay, and im not out to hurt his rep. I just want something done.

Oh yeah, The nice feature about ebay is that it sends emails to you as well as to the other person, so I do have all my emails saved and dated. I also have the emails of the two other winners/buyers that I contacted.

Facts is facts. "Facts" is not "bad feedback."

In other words: "The guy e-mailed me on xxx July that my bid of $xxx.xx was accepted. I sent him the money by Pay Pal on yyy July. Since then I have e-mailed him zz times, on ___, ___, and ___ and he has not responded." is facts.

"The guy is a crook who took my money but didn't ship my stuff" (which is essentially what you posted on CT Jeep) is negative feedback.
