i seem to have fried my power wheelchair controller. the replacement one is about $800. (typical medical stuff pricing). it got wet and i am betting something in the circuit board fried, but i have no idea what to test. nor do i know how. if anyone here knows electronics and needs a challenge, please help. thanks.

hey thanks John. i am guessing you will need the entire chair, and not just the controller. unfortunatly it is not easy for me by myself to load it without it being able to power up. i will see what i can do about getting it to you.

on a side note. i REALLY need to get into the medical supply biz. i learned alot when i was in rehab and saw all the stuff the venders would sell to the patients and charge the insurance companies a ungodly amount. basically because the insurance company will only pay a percentage of that, and the vender knows they wont get anything from the patient. so they jack up the price 10 fold, so they get more than what it should go for if in the mainstream. just a scenerio, but lets say you needed a AA battery. radio shack = $1.25? maybe....now if it was for a medical device from that manufacturer, that same battery would be sold for something like $45. of course it wouldnt be written like that, but you get the idea.
ok sorry folks, just had to vent. i am so bummed my chair is down. now, back to your jeep stuff.
