Well thank you for clarifying that. While its obvious that this is true, If locals think your a crazy gun toting redneck they wont touch your shit... and that's not illegal. That's what I hear anyway.

Uncommon electrical cut offs are the best way to prevent a XJ/MJ from being stolen. Nothing will prevent a thief from breaking into the Jeep.

If it is at night, and you are in Texas, you can use force, up to and including deadly force to retrieve stolen property. If you don't believe me look up the article of the guy who killed a hooker because she took his money and didn't perform her "actions" so the jury considered the money stolen property. They then found him not guilty of murder.

I was in a campsite and some yahoo came in to hit my dog with a stick for biting his puppy. I simply showed him that I was carrying a .45 ACP. He called the cops. I came very close to being arrested for "brandishing" a firearm. The cops talked HIM down. That's when I got the "property vs. life" lecture. Dogs are property, not a family member.

I was commenting on the disparity of the law. A burglar can fall down and break his leg in your house and sue you...and win. Someone can try to steal your dog and get bitten and have the dog put down as a "threat to public safety". That's not just here in sunny California.
