<chuckle> Unlike a large part of da West, Midwestern ground conditions will actually soak up most of the snowmelt. While some folks may get wet feet, the farmers look forward to this sort of winter for good soil conditions in the spring.
i dunno itd be kinda cool to go on a "Snow run" on the way to work everyday...

it's fun the first snow of the year, until you realize that you have to deal with this crap for another 5 months. not to mention that there's alot of idiots that really don't know how to drive in the white stuff.
I want to live in the warm climate, I will trade any of you guys houses for 6 months.

This thread should be titled, "Another reason to live in Northern California" so I could reply with the Rubicon Trail, Tahoe, Eldorado, Napa/Sonoma, Yosemite, Amadore, Lodi, Shast a, Lassen, the Greater Bay Area and the coast from Monterey to Humboldt.
We've got the best weather, best trails, best wines, best redwoods, best mountains, and the best coastline. The rest of the world can suck it, if you ask me.
Give it a few more years, we won't have as many trails to run..
