This has nothing to do with the current election, who wins the election, who you should vote for, or whatever else related to the election. I wasn't trying to distract anyone. If you were distracted in who you should vote for, or why you should vote that way, by this thread, I'm sorry you're so easily distracted. Go back to thinking about the national economy and US standing in the world.
As candidate Romney put a similar health care scheme in place Mass as the national plan coming on line, I don't think whoever wins will make a difference
in the answer to this question. I suppose we could get an admin to lock this thread so it's not a distraction until after the election, but that wouldn't answer my question. I suppose in reality this thread doesn't belong in the political discussion zone, but in the US today, the reality is that abortion is very much a political topic. No, I don't think that abortion should be the deciding factor in the election of the president. I put the thread here because if I put it in the off-topic forum an admin would have moved it here anyway.
the correct response to the OP is:
why the F&%K are we talking about abortion in 2012?
Well, the reason I asked the question is that it occurred to me (as stated in my original post)that with federally mandated health care and defacto federal control of health insurance, there is going to be very little or no privacy left in the field of health care.
Why am I asking this question now, in 2012, forty years after abortion was ruled legal? Well, because now, in 2012, forty years after abortion was ruled legal, the technicality it was ruled legal on(personal privacy in health care decisions)is disappearing. I'm honestly curious where that leaves the original ruling(as I stated in my original post).
