I'm looking for a good place to take out the jeep and put it (and myself) to the test. Where in the local fresno area is a good place to go for a novice? I've never owned a 4x4 before so I have no idea what I'm doing. I have a RE superflex 3.5" lift with 31's.

Hey Joe!!

If you want to really learn, the BEST place to go would be Bald Mountain with a bunch of us. I know there are few that can still go before the snow hits. I can most deffinatly ride. I wont have a wheeling rig for another month or so.

Something maybe to look into is going to the HOLLISTER run in november. Great great group of guys. Lots of experience and very helpful.

I would recomend doing Bald Mtn with a small group or just one other rig. That way they can help to guide you properly. If you go by yourself, you may wind up in trouble and unsure of what to do. Though, do what you want!

You are always welcome to hit me up for help. I am in fresno and have some time now and then.

Matt

:wierd: I found the darkside. I think I may like it... Dont worry, the XJ wont be sold and will remain my pile of tubular fun.
