92 XJ Stereo issues please help!!!

I was trying to hook up an aftermarket stereo in my 1992 Cherokee with the infinity speakers I have power but no sound coming out of the factory speakers if I hook it up too my subs I have sound anybody know what the hell is going on Please help lol Im losing my freakin mind any info would be greatly appreciated

do a quick test take one speaker in your hand and hook it up to the speaker wires off the back of the radio so the wiring is like 1 foot long or so. if that works then your problem is the wiring.

Just a question- did you stick with 5 1/4" speakers? I have a 91xj and am wondering if its possible (relatively easily) to use a larger speaker, maybe a 6x9 in back and 4x6 in front... any ideas?
