90 MJ for parts

My parts guy has a 90 that he's parting out. He's already taken the axles, and the front clip. He rebuilt his 86 after his son hit a deer.
THings he has:
2.5L
AX5
LWB Driveshafts
231 T-case
and anything past the front fenders/interior parts.
He's got a wrecker coming to scrap it end of the week. If anybody wants anything PM me and I'll get you his cell #. He doesn't do the internet.
I can pay for things and hold them here until you guys can pick it up. I'll take paypal and such. You'll have to talk with Bob about pricing, cheap is the name of the game. I just bought his blown up AMC 20 and the matching 4.10 front for $50.
Posted it in here cause it's short notice, and he's not going to ship anything. Parts are in Ashland OH.

I haven't seen it, but he said it had bigger drums than the 35 he put under it from the 90, and the pumkin was round. As i was leaving the parts store I looked under his MJ and it has the metric tonne leaves, and it's an 86.
And yes, I would be cool with an M20 under the MJ
Either way I'm getting both axles for the cheap, and since the front is geared 4.10 it's half of what I needed whether I go 8.8 or not.

bed is rusted above the wheelwells like they do, but the tailgate should be alright. Name your price.

ok somebody on the comanche board was also interested in that. And Jeff wanted the trans, but you got seconds if those fall through. I will probalby go over there this weekend to help him pull stuff.

OK here's the deal, I stopped by and talked with bob today.
He's swapping drivetrains from the 90 into his 86.
I was wrong about it being LWB, it's a short.
It's bench seats, interior is in decent shape.
I'm taking the axles and doors.
All other parts are up for grabs.
2.5L motor has 114K on it runs well, I drove it. No ticking, looks to be well maintainedm he's had it for the last 6 years, bought with 60K miles
Trans does not DOWNshift from 4th to 3rd very well. Syncro is weak/shot. Upshifts fine, if you downshift from 4th to 2nd you can slide it into 3rd no problem.
T-case is a 231 and works like it should, didn't notice any abnormal noises, but I only drove it in 4hi for the length of a driveway.
He want's $175 for the entire drivetrain out of the 86.
I've got to run the trans by another guy on the comanche board, if he doesn't want it then it's back in the game. I was thinking $50 for the trans and 125 for the motor t-case and driveshafts.

I will be picking parts this weekend, so if you want anything we can arrange payment via paypal, I can pay Bob and then we can make arrangements for pickup/shipping. I would be willing to meet people for Gas money, or I can hold onto the parts until we meet for some wheeling.

Ok the guy on the comanche board is passing on the motor and t-case. I've yet to find out from the other guy on the trans. hope to have an answer tonight. Pricing above. If Jeff doesn't want the trans then the whole thing is yours.
I was planning on picking the rear bumper if it was in good shape, and any other useable parts. Does anyone need any interior stuff? Heat control units? vents, whatever, it's a whole truck, not a JY job, so any little pieces nows the time fellas.

also, the motor will probably come complete with accesories. I'ts being pulled right out. At the very least it will have manifolds.

If just the tailgate then I'l grab it for you. I'll be looking at it saturday and taking the cam. So ifyou need patch panels for a bed I'll cut them out for you if this bed has good steel where you need it.

The plan is chop the rear off the Xj and graft an mj bed and tailgate from half the wheelwells back...

yes it can Andy, I will store it in my garage for a while until arrangements are mad for pickup. I'm still waiting to hear from Jeff about whether he wants the trans or not. I'll post back as soon as I know.
Where's Bargersville? Might end up at the Badlands in early may, I could bring it.
