Jim, take that valve cover off, clean it up, and spend some time with it and you'll hav ea very nice cover, I love those aluminum covers!
You can clean it up, paint it (my red Jeep's cover is painted black with the ribs polished out a bit, leaves stripes) or you can pull a Rollins and polish the whole cover until it shines.
