1987 Black 2dr Cherokee with Maroon interior.
4.0/auto/231
219K miles
Power windows and door locks work.

The good:
Registered through January 2010.
New Plugs, wires, cap & rotor and I forgot they were new so I have brand new spares.
New exhaust manifold
New L/F motor mount & trans mount
New injector o-rings
Rebuilt water pump in Dec 07
New battery in Dec 08
New struts for the hatch

The not so good:
Drivers seat torn
Dash plate missing
radio missing (I have one to throw in)
A/C condensor missing, (I have one to throw in)

The bad:
The left side has a crease that starts in the front and runs the length of the vehicle.
The oil pan is dented.
The radiator fan shroud is missing.
A/c is inop because the condensor is missing (I have one on the shelf somewhere).
The transfer case shift detent pin is missing, still shifts, but could jump out of gear. It's an easy fix.
One of the rear side panel wing windows has the hinges missing, but glass is intact.

I got this to keep at the train station and commute like 15 miles a day, but I don't take the train anymore.

I'm in the middle of doing the rear main seal and realized that I really don't care to finish it, and this is a vehicle without a purpose for me.

$700, install the rear main and oil pan in my garage, using my tools if you want, take it home with you.

NOT PETER!!!!!!

Yep Peter needs a new home.

Liz wasn't driving it and you know what my schedule has been like. Do we really need the Saturn, Green Junk, and Peter all sitting around parked? Of course, if I end up having to fix the rear main, I may as well keep it.

So someone make me an offer. :D

So, I'm guessing oil pan is out and needs to be buttoned up?

Oil pan is out, needs to be cleaned, new rear main seal itself needs to go in, put everything back together. I have the seal, the pan gasket, oil, filter because the oil is out anyway, I just don't care to finish it.

All you got to do's is put clean and put it back together?

Oh man Phil you are one lazy kid!!!!

I almost want to buy it . . .

I can't beleave a running rig for $700 OBO has not been snaged yet!

I would buy it, but my wife would make me sleep in it if I bring home another Jeep!

Always wanna ask in a truck thats a 87 could have been changed by now could have a billion miles or just upgraded.

I'd be interested, except for a couple of things. I don't want to change the rear main and put the pan back on. It's black, it has a purple interior, and it has a crease down the side. And the A/C doesn't work.

I want a driver, minimum or no fuss.

Thanks for the interest Richard! I am glad you like it. I think I will donate this vehicle to the needy of Sacramento if I still have it in a week.

Free?
