Horse camp is unfortunately still closed as of today. The front entrance has been blocked, and now the back entrance is even blocked too. :(

So it looks like Lyda will be the place to be for this trip. It was looking pretty puddle filled when I drove by, but there will be lots of room.
 
So a little about myself here. The end of may i turned 36. 3 days before that i got my drivers license for the first time. Long story... Basically lived in the city, and took the train everywhere. Anyway Within a month i got my manual jeep, and learned to drive it during rush hour traffic. It worked well, i think.

Since then ive done alot of work on the jeep. I learned never, ever buy a jeep thats not stock tho.

I would really like to join you guys at least for a day trip. The only place ive had the jeep so far is up on wolf creek road. but thats all gravel so i know it doesn't count.

Would you guys be ok with a complete noob joining? I'm not a complete idiot be any means. Just wouldn't feel right if i didn't make sure its all good.

I'm thinking that my jeep is about ready to hit off road. I need to install my front recovery hooks, and since i only have a ragtop i really need to chase my wiring issue this weekend to fix my heater. The only other thing i can think of is i only have lap belts so i better fix that as well.. lol

Sorry bout the long post, but id really rather be open about things than just show up and look like a complete moron. :eeks1:


besides, i work construction so i can bring lots of 2x4 for you overnighters..

i got no problem sharing space and helping you along. we all have to start somewhere right? i cant speek for the big dogs of the club but the more the better! as far as im concerned.

Spike your more than welcome to come hang out and run some trails. It'll be a great time to come out and meet some local members. I would recommend having some front tow points at minimum and a CB too if possible. TSF is a whole different animal when wet.
 
X a million! We all were, at one time, noobs (except for maybe 88manche... I think he was born in a Jeep! LOL Or at least born at a tire factory!!!)... Come on out! We'll show ya what yer heep can do!
 
Cool beans. thanx guys. Ill plan on being there friday morning. Wifey threatened to hide my keys if thats what it takes to keep me home thursday. I cant wait to see what my jeep can do. & im hoping to turn my name red today. Didn't know it had to be paypal..

cant wait to meet you and your jeep! i was supposed to call you and meet up but i have just been so farkin sick i havnt wanted to drive out to beaverton.:confused1

I have already started buying some small stuff, paper plates/plastic sporks, propane... etc.. got one action packer all packed.. party1:
 
Im still holding that stuff for you. I can just bring it up with me if your going to be there the same day as me. Or i can come drop it in your front yard, so i dont get sick.. lol

As far as wood, my neighbor tore down a deck today. I stashed lots of 2x4 to bring. ill fill up the jeep for you guys.

I will have an extra seat for anyone brave enough.

everyone needs to be aware there are cameras up wildcat and memaloose placed by clackamas county sheriff's a buddy of mine got popped going thru a tank trap the pic was taken from about 30ft up directly down he didnt get a fine but he has to go up there and dig it out so no one ekse can go thru so b aware

Where we are going is 100% legal as long as you have an ATV permit and legel to drive! Infact "Normally" there is forest service/sheriff somewhere in the area.
 
I'll be there for sure. Hopefully I'll get a chance to test out my new rocker replacements!
