$300 Cherokee

I called a couple junk yards looking for a new rear lift gate for my rig. Most of you know why by now.... Anyway, everywhere I called had one for between $200-$300. Too rich for my blood.

So yesterday I was at South Seattle Auto Auction and saw this heap of a Cherokee go across the block. Nobody wanted it, so I offered $300 on the off chance that they would sell it. The gavel struck before I could think clearly about it, and I became the (not very proud) owner of a 1987 4 door Cherokee Pioneer. So, who needs parts?!

The body is totally straight (medium metallic grey), and the red interior is mostly there. Here's the bad news; it's a 2.8 liter V6, so there's no motor stuff to salvage for us 4.0 guys. Anyway, PM me if there's any body stuff ya'll need.

I could also use tow hooks and the lock for the glove box? I would buy the body to replace my roof but don't have any pplace to put it.

Too bad you don't read the snort4x4.com/forum ads. I had one from an '87 for $100 posted for a long time. Has to be '86 or older with the 2.8L. Auto or stick? May have okay gearing (3.73 was common, but so was 3.07!)
My son may need some parts. (he has an '89 that was right front hit that he patched up)
