Has any one been on 2n06x recently. I have not been on it since 2008 and then it was fairly easy. Wanted to take my xj with 2 1/2" lift and 30" tires on it as a bypass of the holcolmb creek rock garden's. I am running solo with my son and don't want to get in over my head. Think I would have any troubles?

I think that is dishpan. But I did find some recent video on FJC sight. I think it is to much for a solo run and my setup. I think I will try Gold Mountain/Jacoby. I have heard they graded the only hard part on G.M.

There's a hard part on Gold Mountain?

Not really.

Someone attempted to grade the "rock garden" on Gold Mountain, but it was never particularly challenging since it's always been more or less level. There is an alternate path across the rocks that is slightly more challenging, but it's mostly a photo op over some bumpy rocks.

There are other well-worn parts of the Gold Mountain trail that would be interesting for a Jeep with 30" tires, but it wouldn't be too bad.

Gold Mountain was fun in my jeep with 30"s :gee:

I'm sure they just wanted a little extra special alone time together.

2N06X (aka Lower Larga) is rated as difficult. I've only been on that trail once, years ago. But I don't remember it being very hard at all. We only ran it because a friend didn't want to do the Holcomb rock garden.

We ended up running gold mountain. Made it with out to much trouble. But every obstacle sure seems big when you are on 30" tires. Forgot how low the oil pan was :O. Thanks again
