OK, so here we are starting a new year which means we should start planning events and setting dates so people can get time off of work and such. Here is a link to last years thread. Everyone is encouraged to help out and plan as many runs as possible.

I will volunteer to organize 2 or 3 runs to Hollister Hills this year. I live close and seem to go several times a year anyway. Right now I am thinking April for the first run, and sometime in August/September for the other run. I will post up and when I plan on the third trip.

I hope we can get at least one run per month this year and we need everyone to volunteer to plan and organize at least one run.

See you on the trails in 2005!

You beat me to it.

February - snow run after midterms (?)
March - Pismo run,
April - Hollister,
May - Pismo II, posibly Lost Coast for Memorial weekend,
June/July - Can we get open runs posted on here for the Sierra rock trails?
July - Swamp Lake
August - Sierra-fest 05 (?)
September - Hollister (?)
October - 21st birthday keg party in Davis (?)
November - Thanksgiving snow run
December - Snow/Hollister (?)

Any other input? I'd like to see at least a couple open runs posted on here for the summer rock season, if people are welcome to join your group. I'm also considering a run to Gold Lake/Snake Lake area for 4th of July, and catch the Graeagle fireworks.

Thanks for getting this going Bryan. I suggest the Tierra Del Sol run from 3/5-6 sat/sun. I'm going to most likely be on this run since I have to go to Encinitas (San Diego area) to pick up my jeep from Ryan (Rawbrown). This is a huge run that is put on by Cal4wheel, but it would be nice to have a large XJ showing there. Here's the registration form and info:

I'd also like to get a Johnson Valley trip going in the next few months before it gets too hot down there. While this is a Sierra Chapter run schedule, it would be nice to hook up with SoCal XJers for the Tierra Del Sol and JV runs.

Not sure if we are doing an "official" NAXJA Rubicon/Fordyce run this year.

Let me huddle with my staff........

You guys really outdid yourselves last year. The Rubicon/Fordyce run started out rough(not your fault), but ended great. No need to step up just yet, unless you are interested of course. I think it is time for a few other members, myself included, to do our part to help out the club. I have more free time nowdays, so I can help out as needed.

This should be a mandatory run for all SC members.

Yes, the "Phil hits puberty" party is a must.

Multi-day runs in Late July and August are out for me. Hopefully I can atleast make Swamp. I want to get as much wheelin in until then as I can. Of course, I'm not doing anything until the jeeps running again.

Grats Chuck!!

I'm surprised she even married me! I still think it was a dare or something. I guess after six years of telling me we're just friends she gave up :)

My wife and I were just friends at 1st to for a number of years and both engaged to other people before we went out when she visited me in Illinois from California where here family moved from Wisconsin. It just works out that way sometimes.

Anyways, is anyone planning on going to Terra Del Sol 3/4-6 or JV in the next few months? Those are my suggestions in addition to the schedule we had last year that looks like a good schedule for this year as well. My jeep is down till March when I should have it back from Ryan and hopefully do Terra Del Sol when I go down south again to pick it up.

Jason, congrats on the non-disclosed, unconfirmed, possible bun in the oven. Maybe Richard will autograph some diapers for you. :)

So, anybody else interested in hosting a run?

I'll lead the Swamp run again this year. I'll talk to Richard about dates since I know he'll want to go.
Also gotta up the vehicle requirements this year. ;)

One trail that I haven't done yet and would like to do is Dusy Ershim.
