what makes you think a front end skid plate has anything to do with being police issue?

the xj i got it off of had a police search light, strobes in the taillights, a siren under the hood and big stars on the doors.

so, i know the skid is not police issue, but the vehicle i got it off of certainly was. or at least some sort of security company.

also, there are about 25 xj's at the jail on gunclub road where we are currently doing the roof. just like the one i got that skid from.

So I just noticed.. by looking at the pics on your first post of this thread, that you have an open style.. radiator, with a cap on it.. but your still running the pressure bottle.. explain. .
