my dad just had one built 383/th750/profab, 2.5 rockwells and 72 inch ag tires, 8.70 gears in that beast. 65 grand.

i can go just about anywhere he does, our power/weight is about the same. he's got a load more clearance, but no articulation.

out at mudfest in okeechobee, you see like blazers and old toyota vans with no tops, 2wd with 40 inch boggers on the back welded, with 16 inch front tires.

my truck blends in pretty well :) gotta love florida.

i want to get up to a place where i can climb over stuff. i run over every small tree, fallen down tree, sandhill i can find. you guys with rocks are lucky.

UPDATE! my wooble got real bad after the last jeep trip, so i looked around and found the upper mount on the tracbar was totally junked.. so! pro-comp tracbar with heim joint! no more TRE for me. says it's good up to 5.5 inches of lift, which is probably about what i'm netting after bumper/winch weight.

beefy 5/8" hardware, had to drill out the old hole with it, took like 20 minutes. used a 5/8" pilot bit in my 3/8" drill running off my 2 car batteries since my drill battery died early on.

i measured what i have now, and it has settled to 4 inches even. (was 4.5 rough country) so! i cant be having that, went down to 4 wheel parts, and got some 2" spacers, then hit the junk yard and found some add-a-leaf's to get rid of my sag and jack that rear end up.

out of a gmc jimmy with a little lift, so i dont know what these actually are, the pack isn't stock though, so it'll be interesting to see what i end up with. ------------------- last thing is the drop brackets, 5 bux for both, that control arm was thrown in for free cause i couldn't get it off with what i had, i need to grind that bolt off.

--------------------- soo, i have plenty of plans for this weekend, no SYE yet, so we'll see if i'm going to be running 2wd or not.

I've seen the phrase "function before fashion" thrown around here once in a while.

You sir have taken it to a whole new level!

Whats a real jeep without some body damage, backyard fab and mismatched manufacturers parts?

Keep having fun and stay safe on the trails!

It takes a lot more balls to drive a heep like that than some late model Limited with custom fabbed everything and a 10K annual budget. Props to you.

One thing though- it needs some diamond tread plate on it. You can't be the Road Warrior with only stock sheet metal exposed. Also, some part of an animal has to be mounted to the exterior as well. That's in the rules.

it's planned for a cow print paint job, also, diamondplate holds the front fans on! thanks

I guess I wont be using the 5" pipe that I have for a front bumper, people would start accusing me of coping you.

lol nice truck man, i had a real nice front like that, ripped it off and the factory brackets with a chain pulling out my forklift. dont trust those brackets, throw that pipe on there, it takes a real man to lay a 6" pipe.

HOLY HELL! Thats a nice looking Jeep you got coming along.

Keep at it. It will all come together at it's appointed hour..month or year. :D Good luck

where you at the last mud fest? can't wait till august for the next one
yeah buddy, but i was rollin' bone stock, i blew out the stock radiator and bottle, and my front axle limped home from there with a fan and radiator off a forklift from that junk yard in okeechobee on parrott ave. good times good times. i'll be there this august for all three days of wheelin'. see what i cant break this time, hopefully i'll have some new rubber by then.

i can not believe that is your daily driver.

props to a jeep built from the junkyard.
