i heard this too, also heard that it is being moved to another location, i dont really understand why they even need insurance, every soul signs a waiver when you pay and enter the park, and anyone who doesn't sign and pay, is trespassing.

? i dunno.

i am going to do some internet research tonight to find another mudfest of some type, i am itchin for a muddy good time.
 
hey mike, hopefully i will have my jeep ready to go out on sunday, i got some sanding left to do then laying down the bedliner. let me know if you need any help getting your jeeper ready for sunday.

yeah buddy, tomorrow i am going to weld jay's scrambler, his leaf mounts came apart at the body from rust.

but yeah man, you gotta make it out there, i dont wanna be the only xj out there.

9am, sharp and early, i'll pull you out of some more rediculous holes, i wonder if that redneck dude will be there.
 
who can guess what i made?

the machine is an autobrake2000 by roper whitney.

that is 26 gauge stainless steel, i will make another one out of 22 gauge tomorrow, the 26 gauge flexed a bit.

you got it. i put 200 psi in the 26 gauge one and it bubbled out on me, so tomorrow i'll make a 22 gauge one, and post it up.

very tired of that other one being a douche on me, it's 3 months old, and i bought it brand new, already taking a dump.

soooo stainless it is! it'll be done tomorrow, more pics then

well last time i was out there i ripped off my rear hitch trying to pull out a suburban. so hopefully i can make it through all the holes. i didnt have any problems getting through anything on the 15th. tomorrow im putting on the last coat of herculiner then i can put the seats back in and im ready to go. will try and bend the rear frame rails back down with the tow truck and try to remout the hitch for sunday.
 
The pressure bottle on my jeep looks original '87 it looks all oxidized and brittle but it doesn't leak.. I wonder why some of them last and others dont.. do they actually pressure up, or it is just like an over flow?

hey bro, i dont know what you're doing tomorrow, but if you want to buy some 3x3x1/4, some 1/4 inch plate steel, a 1/2 inch tap, some class 8 1/2 inch bolts, i'll sleve your rear frame rails, and you can bolt your hitch to that, thats how my rear bumper is mounted, if that thing comes off, i'll loose like 3 feet of framerail in the rear.

i'm welding tomorrow on that scrambler at kirk and lake worth road at 4:30pm, we could weld your shit up too so you're good to go.

yeah, the same pressure that is in your radiator will be in this bottle, the water actually circulates through the bottle as your engine runs, it traps the air in the bottle, so it's like a constant burp, but the air expands more than the water, so if you have a good amount of air, it will stay there and balloon that plastic piece of junk real bad.

either way, time for a new one, i have a metal shop, so why not? :farmer:

i think so, around that, it's less than 25, i like overkill, you cant always build it again on the trail, so if i make it 22 guage, i know it'll work.

i had 200psi air in the shop, so i used that and an air fitting i solidered on to do it, if i had 100 i would have used that.

i put the 26 gauge one in for now, i'll see how that does this weekend, i might end up keeping it, it's 1.2 gallons now too, so a bit more reserve, and it doesn't whistle at me after a ride.
 
How bout a quick rundown on your "stupid vacum contraption thingy eliminator"? I've gotten to know and like the relative simplicity of the RENIX system but those damn vacumm lines are ridiculous.
 
That thing has a lot of character! It's cool seeing the different resources your using the keep the cost in check and have it function both on and off the road! Good luck at mudfest!

well, it's really just the stock locations of the stock lines, but, i used brass fittings, and vinyl hose to make all the connections. it wasn't too bad, i used some diagram i found on this website, i have no idea where.

another guy in my xj club did the same thing, it works pretty well, just make sure you tie wrap that hose on there, so you dont get any leaks when it's underwater.
