Can anyone tell me what axles and t case a 1968 International Scout might have in it? I have found one pretty cheap. I was thinking some of the later model Scouts had a Dana 300 and 44 axles. I don't know about the earlier models. Thanks in advance.

A '68 will have a D30 front, D44 rear with 19 spline shafts and a Dana 20 t-case.

Don't mean to sound stupid, but how can I tell the difference between a Scout II and the 800 Series?

800 hood hinges at the windshield frame (like an XJ). Scout II is hinged at the grill (like a Corvette).

Scout has a trapezoid shaped door and the Scout II is rectangular.

Would it be worth my time to buy it for the Rear axle and scrap the rest? Or Would anyone be interested in any of the parts off of it?

Rear axle isn't desireable as it is a 19 spline. There really isn't anything from that year Scout that would be usable on an XJ.

Besides, don't scrap it, you sell the wole thing or parts on the BinderPlanet website.
