15x10" 4.0" backspace what size tires fit?

Im planning on running 15x10" wheels with 4.0" backspace on stock suspension 2000 Classic. Anyone know what size tires will fit without rubbing? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I have a set of 255/60-15 BFGoodrich Radial T/As on the 15x7" classic 5-stars, so maybe:

I almost bought a set of 15x10"s in order to run 275/35-15 Hoosier A6s, but scored some 18x9&9.5" and 285/30-18s A6&R6s to run instead.

a 255 on a 10" wide rim is bad voodoo.

You're going to need something over 305 wide for those. I highly suggest narrower wheels! Otherwise you're stuck with drag strip tires.

If you would've clicked the link, you would've seen that I was suggesting the 275/60-15s BFGs that are 28" tall(similar height to stock). I've been running the BFGs for over three years and they are a decent all-season tire.

A 10" wide rim, with 4" BS, is going to require a lot of trimming to keep from hitting the fenders, why not a 7 or 8" rim that will tuck better?
Building a rig around a set of existing wheels is a backward way of doing things. What diameter wheels do you want? What gears and lift do you plan on and how is it going to be used?

This is not my rig, its a buddies. He is building this as a DD no offroading and wants it to be "stanced":flame::flame::flame::flame: I dont agree with it but he already has the wheels and is stubborn.

Google 275/60-15 on 10" to see how all the Mustangs and F-bodies are stanced. You can also throw a 295/50-15 BFG on the 10" as well, but that will be 26.7" tall(less likely to hit fender flare on bumps). The bonus is that it'll act as a gearing change with the shorter tire(but at the same time you are adding more tire weight).
PS: The 15x10" will stick out ~3+3/4" more than the stock wheel.

I will say it does pain me in the BMW world to see guys take an awesome handling M3 that came with 235/40-17s on all four corners or 225 fronts and 245 rears and instead of going to 245s or 255s on all four corners decide to "stance"(read slam) and stupid negative camber it to the point of destroying handling, use incorrect offset wheels, then stretch skinny 205s on them in order to clear the fenders, with like 1" of rim sticking out. Stance is not cool, but putting wider tires and wheels on a street Jeep is cool by me. Just make sure your boy isn't gonna get hassled for having exposed tires.

Wish him good luck and stand back, he will learn the hard way.
No reason to take advice from those more experienced than him.
