15k for a 94 xj???

my jeep is cleaner than this one.

i'll start the bidding at 19k, or buy it now for 30k.

no rust on doors, roof or hatch.

a rust free hatch? what a quinkie dink, mines rust free too!

haha, Dans rig was flopped and now it does not have doors, roof, or hatch! :D

holy crapy, some body has bid 7k. Man everyone here should be listing your XJ's on ebay now!!!!

Yeah, that would be me.

He knows he paid a little much for the lift, but he is friends with the guy and likes supporting local folks.

The other parts he bought online for the most part. The fact that he has never taken it in the mud increases the value to me. Having grown up in south Georgia, mud boggin before many of you were born, I know how much abuse they can be put through, and how many folks do not do proper maintenance afterwards, like changing the diff fluid after each weekend outing, remove wheels and cleaning joints, re-grease, etc.

The first owner (he was the 2nd) was a lady that drove it from Joplin to Springfield for work and garaged it the whole time she had it, and she lives two blocks from him.

Even if the engine grenades the day I get it, the sum of its parts are worth more than $7K. There is no cheap stuff on this XJ. I have already been approached about selling it at a tidy profit.

not to be a dick or anything, but i dont care how much those parts costed the original owner, they are all used now. its a 1994 jeep with 180K miles on it. the thing looks clean and sharp, but i personally think the $5k is pushing it.

That is pretty much the response I expected. I had hoped I would be wrong, but first impressions are generally correct.

ultimately the rig is worth what YOU paid for it b/c it was your money. It is a very nice clean rig and as long as your happy with it that is all that matters. Enjoy your new rig and remember opinions are like...well, you get the point.

Cheeseman-OUT!

seriously i think its a great looking jeep. i also think you will have a lot of fun with it. if you take care of it, that motor could get double that life easily. i also think its a nicer rig then mine. and like cheeseman said, as long as you like it that really is all that matters.

agreed. its a very clean rig. mine was that clean....

Thanks for the kind words. Those are my feelings as well.

It is my money and if it falls apart, it will still be less money that I have wasted in my younger days. I would venture to guess that anyone that spends any amount of money on a vehicle only to destroy it, could be said to be wasting their money.
