Driveshaft for a 4.5 inch lift

I own a 93 2WD XJ country, I'm trying to lift it 4.5 inches and throw 33s on it just to get it sitting right. Struggling to find a driveshaft for a lifted 2WD, do they make any?

You could do a Hack-n-Tap or an SYE. With the H-n-T you might be able to set the length to work with a stock front drive shaft.

I'll fs look into that, idrk a whole lot of about working on these or any trucks, Preciate the help

Iron Rock Offroad (IRO) has H-n-T. They should have the instructions on line. I've done two of them. I might have gone SYE with todays prices of H-n-T, with the drill jig and stuff. I used a front drive shaft on mine. I replace one of those with an Adam driveshaft as it was $100 used and the length I needed.

For a 2WD, not going to happen!!!

OP, you may need to have your driveshaft re-tubed. It's going to be close on whether you even need a new one. I would do the lift and see, you could even do a "transmission" drop kit to help if it gets close to being a issue.

Tom Woods or Adams Driveshaft will build you whatever custom shaft you want. I have used Tom Woods a couple times with good luck. Tell them what joints/splines needs to go on each end, the length, and what kind of slip splines you want. They walk you through it and will give advice on what will work best too.

FYI, I had a local shop give an estimate to modify my old rear shaft to work with the 241 case and Tom Woods was cheaper to build a custom shaft.

Something else to consider is offset u-joints, thet will gain you 1/4" each!

OK, yeah they don't make SYEs for 2WD. Still, a HnT might work. A few questions first:
Manual trans or Auto? 8 1-4 rear end or Dana 35?
Measure the distance center to center of the current driveshaft U-Joints. Measure the OD of the slip joint. I have a HnT Yoke here. I measured Dia 1.5. Also looked at Rock Auto, dia 1.5.
I do worry if lifting 4-1/2 will cause driveline vibes with a slip yoke.
I did look on Rock Auto for rear driveshaft lengths. I come up with 46.875 for 8-1/4 and 47.5 for D35.

Maybe try again since the spline count doesn't fit!!!
