Changed my fuel filter, wow what a difference! When I poured the gas out of the filter, the inlet side came out looking like Coca-Cola. The outlet side looked like water. Took it for a drive, and it feels like I have a bunch more get up and go.

This is now on the top of my list for performance mods!

While you were under there you should have put one of those japanese letter stickers on the fuel pump, that's 10hp more right there (but it takes away 100 ft-lbs of torque)

Unfortunately more recent XJ's have the filter built into the pump in the tank and AFAIK it's a non serviceable item.

WWWWRRRRRRROOOOOONNNNNNGGGG! The filter part number for 97-01 XJ 's Kejtar is 4798301 so sayeth the DC parts god Rabbit. :jester:

Thank you, Thank you, I am here all week (every week that is!) :wave1: :(
I was wonderin when workin for DC was going to pay off!

P.s You are right about it being on the pump, although you do not have to remove the pump to change it (its on top) you might want to consult your manual as to the proper way to change it. Also be careful, the fuel lines are brittle and break easily.
