I already had a thread on ruffstuff 1 ton steering and track bar kit. Got awesome feed back from naxja members. But one person brought up the point of the rim size and back spacing. I'm running a set of crager soft 8's 15 x 8 with I believe 4.5"s of back spacing. I have to finish my steering by next weekend. So I'll have to order something monday.

Any body run these rims and 1 ton?

Thanks for looking

ordered my 1 ton steering kit, panhard bar kit yesterday.

thanks ruffstuff.

NOW THE WAIT.

ill be posting build picks on this thread. my goal is to make the panhard bar length and angle the same as the drag link. should be building this weekend.

thanks for every ones info

Is that the offset or standard TRE's on that? I've fit 15" steel wheels on my axle with WJ knuckles/brakes and "1-ton" TRE's but mine are the standard dodge/GM ends. Even a set of alloys cleared with a teency bit of room to spare. But these wheels were 3.75-4" BS.

If you still have stock knuckles it should be fine.

yes, stock knuckle. and i just got the standard gm 1 ton steering kit from ruffstuff. im running basic crager soft 8's, 15x8 w/ 4.5" bs.

I brought up backspacing and RS steering in your other thread. I run 4" of back spacing on a D44 front and hte 7/8" hiems barely clear the rims. I could probably eek out 4.25" back spacing , but that would be very close....

really? i run 7/8 heims over the knuckle with reids on my 44, and my H2 wheels are 5 and 5/8" BS and it clears. its by a hair but it clears.

you running 15" rims or 16" rims or 17" rims . I run 15" rims and 7/8" hiems. barely clears some parts of the calipers with some grinding. I couldnt imagine that clearing at all on my setup.

of course I also just noticed my ball joints are bad, which could have something to do with it.

that explains it perfectly. Id love to go 17" rims some day so I can run crazy backspacing. of course, at 4", my hubs on my 44 are about level with the outer lip of the tire.

also are you running 12.5's or 13.5s? the reason I ask is that I am running 36/13.5/15s. its pretty tight.
