hey thanks again for meeting up on the leafs, and just in damn time i might add. when i pulled off my old packs today i found that one of the small leafs had cracked in half =\
good luck with the rest of your sales
heh nah, i recently moved back out to the bay area. living in vegas was cool and all, but having such easy access to bars, clubs, sports books (especially), and poker rooms eventually exposed chinks in my supposedly unwavering discipline.
thanks for reminding me to update my profile :)
Looking for a donor set of springs to beef up my stock pack. Prefer local pickup in SF Bay area.

well i'd reckon that a fair number of people doing a lift do so at their own home, and end up driving to a shop for an alignment. i sure wouldn't recommend busting out 85 on the highway or taking a road trip, but putting around town shouldn't be much of a problem
for a good low cost option on a 4x4 DD that will be virtually invisible on the road, definitely consider an autolocker up front like the Aussie or Lockrite for the D30 for example, they are very affordable at around $250 or so. an autolocker in the rear will definitely be noticeable since it is...
i did look over his site, where exactly does it go into detail about the strength of the OEM front XJ drive shaft? i found zero information on that.
it doesn't really matter though. i figured that at least one person would voice some concerns or show some reluctance to do this mod, but either...
heh, i said the "front end" was only designed for half the torque, but wasn't sure about individual parts like the drive shaft.
if you think the front drive line as a whole is as strong as the rear, do me a favor remove your rear drive shaft and do the same test in 4HI and let me know how that...
Not really, actually you guys are doing a good job of convincing me that my reservations about doing this may be unfounded. I had thought there was some sort of a science behind drive shafts, and that the information was probably out there but just not readily available. It looks like it may...
do you have a FWD option on your transfer case? i know mine doesn't. my vehicle was designed to only have the front receive torque when the rear is also receiving torque. that tells me the front was not designed to get 100% of the engine torque. why would they overbuild it to do so when that...
so you think that just because something doesn't break, that means it can't have any negative effects on other components? wow thanks for that very thorough analysis there, you must be an engineer.
exactly, from the responses i've gotten from them the delays supposedly have nothing to do with the product itself or the design. i was told it boils down to "business issues" which to me sounds like they have been putting this off until enough 8.25's are out there before going into production...
no actually i know little about the front shaft, that's the main reason i'm posting here looking for more information on it. i have searched but have not found many details regarding it's construction and strength.
and i don't think i'm really arguing, i'm just saying that i'm looking for...
