RIG OF THE YEAR!!!

Time has come to sort through the winners and pick your favorite Rig. we have a wide range of choices here. So choose wisely

here we go...

85xjwoody
First time entering the beast in anything so here we go. My two pictures are from one of our wheeling trips this summer on the pipeline outside of Crooked Lake, Wisconsin

1997 Jeep Cherokee country

4.7 stroker/AW4/231 with AA SYE
Lift consisting of RE 4.5" coils with 2.5" spacers up front.
4.5" RC leafs with 1.5" JKS shackles with HO boxes out back and UBE.
T.N.T long arms with a full T.N.T D44 axle truss
1977 Ford D44 front axle stuffed with 4.56 gears, lockright locker, Yukon 4340 shafts paired with Yukon Superjoints.
1977 Ford big bearing 9inch 31 spline with 4.56 gears and a mini spool.
SeanR homebuilt front and rear bumpers and gas tank skid plate.
Smittybuilt 10,000 winch with a Yellowtop Optima
38"x15.5"x15" Mickey Thompson MTZ's on some fake Allied beadlock rims

I don't think I am missing anything.

BRIANHO13
I'll play, since I still own it.

98 xj 4.0 with ax15
231-300 doubler
dana 60 front spooled
yukon 35 spline inners and outters with drive slugs
yukon super joints
hi steer
full hydro
3 link front (lowers are 2" 1/4 wall chromoly)
14 bolt rear (welded)
4 link rear (lowers are 2" 1/4 wall chromoly)
42" irocs
steel beadlocks
cutting brakes
tom woods shafts front and rear
tom woods spare rear and a extended stock front spare
m8000 winch
front suckdown winch (behind front bumper)
s.s. custom fuel cell that uses stock pump
yellow top relocated to back
4 point harnesses
all cage tubing is 1.75" 120 wall DOM

Pat
Built for zombies:

-Able to run over anything at a high rate of speed (see front tubes, shiny shocks and front 3-link) on runs to town
-Manual transmission to avoid any slushbox failure that could render the vehicle useless
-All rear windows removed in favor of chop saws that swing up to chop up zombies
-Rear spool and alloy shafts for guaranteed reliability
-Front Aussie and alloy shafts...may need to upgrade this to a spool this week
-Spare alloy front shafts, spare hub, spare drive shafts, spare rear 9" shaft to ensure I can make it to my mountain hideaway time and time again
-Rear-facing tater cannon (cheap, endless ammo...enough of a blow to delay a zombie)
-On-board air to allow for terrain transitions
-Puncture-resistant Super Swampers and beadlocks
-Cage that allows vehicle to survive a zombie-induced rollover and recovery with winch and FRESH SNATCH block
-Room for full-size spare, WWII Army chest full of weapons, full set of tools, camping gear and coolers for the longer adventures

I could go on and on...this is the rig you want.

Sorry for three pics...I cannot showcase the capabilities with only two:

87manche
Do I really have to submit pictures or can you just give me the ugliest jeep award. I have the WF certificate to prove it.

Specs:
it a 4.0!
Mileage? Who knows, I tore the speedo cable out years ago in Uwharrie.
AX-15-231, and you don't need an SYE with a 6 foot long driveshaft
4.56's, D30-super bling 8.8
Xj leafs in the rear, no shocks for a while now, 2010 maybe? Whenever I did Lion's den, they ended up crunched.
Rubicon 4.5" junk up front.
Redheep custom steering.

A super pimp fuel cell, since I tore out the original in Moab.

No radio, hell, not much anything in the interior works these days except the heater, and that's a wife requirement.

The header panel got eaten by a tree in Harlanduring an "interesting" recovery.

The hood is bent and doesn't open without crunching the cowl panel.
Rockers? Not had those for like 3 years.
Jennie's not had a passenger side door handle for that long either.
Mirrors? Not concerned with what's behind me, the center mirror fell of the windshield too and I can't be bothered to put it back.

PIctars!

vt98xj
98 cherokee
auto
33" STT
bumpers (rear made to match cut and fold)
2x6 sliders
HDO mid-stiffeners
rear TJ flares

D30/locked 8.25
RC long arm, clayton 4.5" coils
BDS 3.5" leafs, BDS 1" shackles, HDO shackle relocation

TO BE CONTINUED....

Re: RIG OF THE YEAR!!!

k5matt
Kinda miss this pos sometimes...

350/700R4/NP241
10 bolt front w/Lockright and Warn locking hubs
10 bolt rear, open

Wheeled this death trap at WF12

^^This probably contributed heavily to the vehicle's demise.

Copious amounts of rust and body damage, including the custom floor delete option, tons of body flex, doors that never opened or stayed closed, zero structural integrity, and everyone saying 'it'll fold like a taco!'

Ok I'll play.

my jeep is the most interesting Jeep in the world. If only it could talk, Im sure it would tell you all about

-getting stolen and recovered before I owned it
-death wobble
-flopped ---yes
-small fire ---yes
-Running Lions den with a full body and no cage
-top cut off on the trail
-B pillars regularly adjusted with another jeep and a strap
-towed on top of another NAXJer rig from one side of the mountain to other in Harlan
-lost a wheel off the side of a mountain
-every single panel left is dented this thing just loves rocks and trees. or maybe it the driver?
-unibody damage and repair. yeah it has that.
-It has went through the full progression from stock, to "light" wheeler, to trail rig to bastardized Xj-buggy
-still street legal with plates and insurance
-Wheels more trails in one year than a-lot of rigs do in their entire lives
