Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

PM me some details and a price please. Might make a good graduation present next month. She finally finished her AA degree, graduating next month. Thanks.

I have a Thule roof rack on my 98 I'm going to be selling. It's 2 Cross bars, 2 ski clamps, and the front wind deflector. Comes with keys for the locking rain gutter clamps and ski clamps.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Girls don't want a roof rack for graduation, they want a trip to the Caribbean.

LOL, you don't know my daughter. She is not one of the usual suspects, LOL.

When she was 17 we did a head gasket job together on her first Cherokee, I made her pull all the parts off first, LOL. Her idea of fun is racing at Tough Mudder, Heroes and Villains and Spartan races, climbing mountains, camping, cross-fit, she has her own photo business, loves the outdoors. She is now one of the official Spartan Race photographers :)

One tough girl. But she looks like a Hollywood model.

In case you can't tell I one proud dad, LOL. She wants practical stuff she can use.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Maybe when she gets the Bachelor's, Tom............

Indeed. I just wanted to make sure she had at least an AA (art + photography) under her belt. She owns her own business, but many of us know how that can go south, and how important degrees can be at times, at least I do. I waited till I was 35 to start on my Chemical Engineering degree. I was too young, and not motive enough before then, but at 35 it was hard on the family since I also worked full time. She is going after the BA starting this summer in art at a local university up the CSprings.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I think Dutch just posted up a for sale on a nice Thule rack.

I raised three daughters. Two of which are pretty good mechanics and do their own brakes, alternators, radiators, etc.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I just saw this on another board. Never mind the Jeremy Clarkson drivel, watch what these people do to keep "cars" on the road.

Yeah that's an oldie. Clarkson puts out a much better product now, that was kind of drivel-ous.....lol.

There's another show that I just found called "Cuban Chrome" that's kind of like the american shows featuring some car guys, car shops and what not and what they're building. They're all connected through a car club. I got interested BECAUSE of what they were working with.

One of the guys they're following is an older Cuban cab driver with a 50's Oldsmobile 4dr. His car has been so bastardized over the years it had a 2wd Toyota truck front suspension welded to the Olds frame rails and a diesel boat engine similar to a 5.7L Cummins. The car has been painted so many times you can see layers in the paint chips like rings in a tree trunk....

Another guy is building a '58 Chevy Impala 4dr. Paid $9K for what would equate to a $1K car in the US.

The old American cars in Cuba get passed down like heirlooms, rarely being sold and many stay in constant service being cobbled together by any means. There are no auto parts stores in Cuba.

My bad. 5.9

Re: The Colorado BS thread

10 days, it averages out to about 400 miles a day. We've got some short -300 mile days in the middle so we can really enjoy the PCH in Cali.

Nice, I got to drive the PCH a while ago going from LAX to Santa Barbra. Other than being in some POS over sized gocart rental and getting the **** out of LA it was a good time. Would definitely want to road trip it again just in an actual car.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I'm doing it on a motorcycle, but yeah it should be a good time.
