why not build that housing(brack the pass side upper mount, inner C's and lca mounts) and then sell the one that's in your jeep now? It's alot easier to do that than try and do it to the one that's in there when you drive it everyday..

I thought about it and it would be much easier but, I dont have the money to do a WJ brake setup and everything that goes with it, and it is an 88 so the brakes are the shitty renix style.

My 8.25 is back now :cheers: new pads and internals I turned the drums and gear pattern was checked so im pretty happy with it!
 
Are you parting out the old 88?

If so, how good of a condition are the grill/bumper/header panel/bezels in? How much would you want for them?
 
Pretty good and yes.

Make me an offer, im easy, but its got to be reasonable and if you want it let me know before Wednesday that's when im scrapping it.
 
that 88's looks to be in good shape, whats the reason for scrapping?
The rear end of it is junk.... Spring hangers are gone and the amount of rust compared to the amount of metal is around 60-40 rust is in the lead....:flamemad:

You can use your outters of the 98 and why do you need WJ brakes with 33's? ZJ disc swap the 8.25 and run it, you wanna spend your money right , regear your axles from the get go.
 
Do you mean the whole knuckle or the part that the brakes mount to?

Had the most random conversation with a guy in a jeep Comanche today at autozone. We talked just jeep stuff but he asked how I liked the 98 and all that I asked how he found the manche and he said just local for $500 :D

Also I am getting some 33s for $150 :D and my HP 30 housing

Cut the jeep apart around the 4.0. Problem solved.
 
I did that.
Scored some 33 MTRs old style for $120 and paid $30 for two steelies :eeks1:

So now I have that stuff can I do some other projects :lickout:
 

8.25 just needs some gear oil, what should I run straight 90w?

How is that alot of work? swapping knuckles is not that hard not to mention keep your HP 30 brackets and links in one peice, if you think that's alot of work you're in the wrong game!

Because, at that time I had a buyer for it and I now have Mtrs instead of it. :lickout:

But I used it to make some Gussets for the other axle and some control arm skid plates :thumbup:
 
My stuff showed up from serious offroad yesterday, the stem conversion kit was missing all the hardware, so I Emailed him, hardware is on the way!
