B.S.D. is an acronym for Big Spanish Dog. It is a name given to me in college and stuck. I played on a college basketball team. I would play the four spot. I gave up height but made up for it with agressiveness and good shut down defense. In the middle of a game, there was a loose ball and I dove for it. Long and short of it, it got loose again and I dove again. Broadcaster / announcer called out "look at him fighting for it like a dog." "To which the other fellow responded "Yeah, a big spanish dog!" (I am Mexican but in that neck of teh woods, that meant Spanish?) Hence, I have been called that for nearly 20 years now. I tried to run from it for a while but I gave up and accepted it. Most old friends call me B or BSD
