You know B,

If you spent half the time working on your Jeep that you do cruising HS parking lots looking for a date, or surfing the net forums looking for someone to doll out your "wit" you would be done with the mods and ready to roll.

NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bones :skull1:

Oh, and KMlillywhiteA :moon:

Yeah, My tcase started makin funny noises on the way home from the pine city mudbog / hillclimb yesterday, lost the tail pipe, bashed the rocker where the steel I have at home should have been on there and protecting, and fried the alternator!! Thats ok, I wanted a 140amp anyways with the winch that will be on there tonight.

Guess I should tone it down a lil on the moab testing and get in the garage!

I gotta say though, I am very impressed with what my XJ Dominated yesterday.
There was a bunch of sand hills right out from a thick mudpit that required 3rd gear, and the best part was the swamp that I don't have any pic of, just short video clips I mashed though pretty deep till I finnaly got stuck and let about a galon of water on the passenger side. so I went back and did the log hill one last time before the 44's kilt it.

I got complements from just about everyone I talked to about how well it wheels and looks. So that was very nice after all the hard work...

They had a pretty cool log hill that I made it up 4 times before the big guys with 44's came and rocked its world.

I'm all set to go as of today as long as I have a trailer to tow it out there with. If I have to drive it, I still need to replace two LCA bushings, one UCA bushing (axle end passenger which means I need to remove the spring) adjust my castor. and replace all my shocks.

I hope I can get a hold of a trailer in the next few days.

you need me to bring my spares Scott? not that I can use the lowers anymore anyway.

bah.... progress they say..... I am dealing with last minute short shocks!!! Can you believe that Rancho still stocks ancient shocks? I just got replacement shocks from them to go in place of ones I got in 4wp (and it turns out that those are way shorter then their advertised length) and they are the same exact size!!!!! $#@$(&@#^$ Currently I got my upcountry shocks back in which are LONGER (can you believe that????) then the Rancho shocks for a lifted vehicle!

Man will it ever end.

Spent four hours running wires instead of working.

Man my boss is going to kick my butt when she finds out. LOL

It will be ready to wheel, but it won't be done to the point I wanted it to be done. Oh well! Time to Jeep!

Beezil, I installed the welder today. :D

Grasshopper, soon you will learn the wisdom of not asking question you really don't want the answer too!

I can laugh, I bought a new controller 2 years ago in Moab on my way out of town.

I will be raiding my folks' durango :) (yup... I made sure to install the same controller for myself as I did for them :D) Actually after poking around a bit, I'm thinking that there is something screwy going on with the electrical connections. I'm pretty sure I wired it right as it worked 2 weeks ago sat when I replaced the receptacle.... so I'm suspecting some pesky short someplace.... damn I hate those things! I already know that it will come down to taking the receptacle appart and running it wire by wire by wire using aligator clips and wires to see what makes the sob tick... And I still gotta figure out what to do about shocks!

I really dont think I ever worked so hard in my life like I have this week. Today removed rear axle, installed locker, cut off shock perches, relocated and boxed them, fabricated a diff. cover gaurd, installed ZJ rear discs. Etched, washed, primed, and painted the rear diff. (4 coats) Removed bar pins from old shocks installed them in new shocks. Installed S.S. brakelines. Made 100 phone calls to get the rest of the supplies I still need next day air. Examined tubing for long arms that I STILL need to fabricate.

Things look bleak to say the least......if I arrive there Thurs or Friday, will it still be worth the journey? :bawl:

Quit painting and keep welding, you can paint it when you get back. You don't need diff guards in Moab. You don't need long arms in Moab, ask Beezil, in fact you don't need long arms anywhere. Oh yeah, I guess they might be nice for the long drive out to Moab.

You can't get an award in the car show or get a sweet pic in a mag if you don't show up, so quit trying to make it perfect and pretty and just get the damn thing done.

Rich spay some Krylon on it so it won't rust before you reach the west and get out here. This is sounding like the beginning of "I can't make it this year"
