York County, SC or Charlotte?

Hey guys. Just trying to find some XJ buddies. Im in Clover, SC about 20 min from carowinds. Anyone here in York County? Had my XJ for about a year but I always go wheeling by myself. I'd like to go to the Gulches or Uwharrie this year and maybe a camping trip to Carolina Beach. Also a few projects I want to do to my XJ that I might need help with. I did the long arms and SYE and drive shaft a few months ago.

There's a few guys here that make a camping trip to Carolina Beach once a year.

I live 20 minutes from Gulches. Making trips is going to be tough with the baby due here soon but if you want to head up one weekend shoot me a PM and at the least you could swing by here.
 
I live 10 minutes from Gulches, but haven't been yet. Just got XJ and still getting things together. If you up this way, let me know.
 
I was in Ware Shoals Wednesday. Everything closes too early. It was 9:05 and my daughter had to use the bathroom and the only thing open was a Dollar General...

Your name isn't Matthew is it? lol
 
Ah, I was on a roll, I figured I'd guess your name too. I bought the new Pontoon from a guy named Matthew in Ware Shoals.

Hell, get the XJ going, get you a membership here, don't be shy and we'll hit some trails sometime soon.

Most folks that live near me stay on here for a short period of time and don't stick with it. There's lots of friends to made here.
 
Welcome! We need more SC XJer's on here. I'm SE of you Mr Pibb. Come down any time. Have shop and welder and willing to help. I am working on a URE trip soon. I'm guessing middle or late May. I might try and do a June Gulches trip. However that is getting close to the Crawl and I'm not going to want to tear it up and have to repair it before then. ;)

Well, if you didn't do 40mph down all the trails you wouldn't break it. :)

So this is why you were asking me about CB last night...lol

There's a couple of us up here in Charlotte. We used to get together every now and then and grab a bite and a brew for an evening...haven't done that in a while. Perhaps its about time to...

Keep an eye in the Land Use forum as well for info about Uwharrie. Especially in terms of volunteering on the workdays. There's one on the 3rd Saturday of every month and usually results in a good turn out from a lot of the local 4X4 communities, not just NAXJA.

Yeah, his post reminded me about it. Me and the family want to attend this year. We'll be staying in a hotel since we'll have the baby but we hope to be there.
 
Hey I'll have the baby Green Ghost... maybe I can steal it from the boys this summer and come out too!
 
Im in Charlotte and go through York pretty often. I work near Westinghouse so its pretty damn close to Fort Mill And Carowinds. Anyways I usually make 4 or 5 trips out to Uwharrie during the summer for wheeling and camping. you are more than welcome to join us if you like.

Any major holiday and I'm usually out.... Kids and all... Divorce adn all... But then again you know this! ;)
