Yet another axle question!

What type of rear axle would a 1980 Ford F100 2wd I6 typically have? Or how can i tell what it is? I know i know stupid questions! Teach me i am a sponge for info.

Yeah, I just felt like piling on...mainly because I had nothing valuable to add as I have no idea what axle would be under the truck.
