I thought it would be interesting to see pics of Cherokees being used for public service. I'll start it off!

This one is from the Riverside County CA sheriff's Dept.

A few bases up here use them for on base running around. I would like to get my hands on one if they ever faze them out, great condition, low miles and the body are normally in great shape too.
Newer 97+ up-country models I believe, all the skids, look a tad higher than stock and green. Nothing special at all

Put a 3" lift on this one a few years back. It belonged to the local sheriff's department.

It had air bags over the rear springs, had to use blocks to lift it to keep them functional.

Vinyl floor.

If you get the right angle you can still see the "Call 911" and where the decals used to be.:D

Yeah, that would be sweet. Too bad the USFS can't implement something like that for Tellico.

Here's the rehosted pic of the new Eldorado County JK:

The World Trade Center security staff in NYC still has a couple of XJ's in their fleet. Next time I head out to NYC I'll snap a couple of pics, probably next week or the week after. I can't get interior shots but you can see them parked right out of the apartment window, looking down.

The JK? Yep, it's a real patrol vehicle for the Eldorado County Sheriff's Department. They use it on the Rubicon, with pretty good success.

Which is why they need one out at Tellico.

What do they do...just patrol and make sure nothing "fishy" is going on? I guess also make sure people aren't doing illegal things with their vehicles???
